What Is Punta Sur?

Located at the southern tip of the island inside the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, Punta Sur (meaning “South Point”) is a deep wall dive famous for its complex topography, Cavern-like swim-throughs, and dramatic drop-offs that sink into the abyss.

It’s home to one of Cozumel’s most iconic underwater features: "The Devil’s Throat" — a narrow tunnel that descends steeply from around 80 feet to over 130 feet (24–40 meters), opening into the blue like a portal to another world.
